The Seattle Kraken will look to keep pace in the Pacific Division without one of their top scorers.
Forward Jared McCann is expected to miss 10 weeks with a lower-body injury, the Kraken announced on Sunday.
McCann has three goals and five assists for eight points in 11 games this season with Seattle.
The Kraken are third in the division following a 7-4-1 start but are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.
“He’s a guy that we’re going to miss, and I thought we missed him in certain situations tonight for sure," Kraken head coach Lane Lambert said about McCann's absence after the game.
Kaapo Kakko was promoted to the top line in McCann’s spot alongside Jordan Eberle and Matty Beniers.
